One of the most ambitious ideas of the Coalition is to host a candidate debate. We think hosting such an event would be possible. Given the contested nature of some races, we believe that candidates could be compelled to attend a stage event, or at least send a campaign representative, to speak to a collegiate assembly. Student moderators could direct the conversation with questions from the open-to-the-public audience. The debate will be a fantastic opportunity to partner with student groups across Lehigh Valley campuses as well as regional political non-profit organizations.

This idea is still in its conceptual phase and brainstorming on strategies would be helpful.
