ABOUT THE COALITON OF CONCERNED STUDENTS
Potential Impact
The real beauty of the Coalition of Concerned Students lies in its flexibility; the generated surveys can be composed of any question cared about by the students involved with the project.
Care about fracking? Develop a question about the surrounding state policy.
Care about the environment? Ask the candidates about their personal sustainability beliefs.

CCS represents an opportunity for cross-campus collaboration and increasing students' political power in the Lehigh Valley. We understand that traveling between campuses can be a challenge, especially in the Lehigh Valley. This page is designed as a mobile option for students who want to fully participate in building candidate surveys, but may not have access to regular transportation.
Register as a member for CCS (with a student email) and gain access to forums and submit your survey questions remotely.

The Coalition is a fairly new organization with two completed surveys conducted during the 2015 November local elections and 2016 April primary election. Envisioned by Lehigh University Political Science professor Dr. Al Wurth as a mechanism to engage students through electoral politics, the Coalition of Concerned Students creates an opportunity for participants to expand their political horizons by applying knowledge of local, state, and federal policy of interest to candidate surveys, voter registration drives, and advancing current political understanding in the Lehigh Valley.

Starting with Ellie McGuire, Lehigh graduating class of 2015 and first CCS regional organizer and continued by Kate Cavazza, Lehigh graduate student and Community Fellow, CCS is working to build a network across the Lehigh Valley which include higher education students, faculty members, and partnering organizations.
